Genesis

This series is unfinished and will eventually consist of six paintings. Each panel is titled with a quote from the creation story in the Book of Genesis, and maps the mystery of human reproduction onto the Biblical story of the creation of the universe. Imagery from early Italian depictions of the Annunciation and of the Virgin Mary is also used, in a reference to links drawn historically between the new and old testaments.

Je n'ai toujours pas terminé cette série, qui comprendra finalement six tableaux. Chaque panneau est intitulé d'une citation de l'histoire de la création dans le livre de la Genèse, et inscrit le mystère de la reproduction humaine dans l'histoire biblique de la création de l'univers. Des images tirées des représentations italiennes de l'Annonciation et de la Vierge Marie sont également utilisées, en référence aux liens établis historiquement entre le Nouveau et l'Ancien Testament.
